Tutorial: How to set up TSC TTP-247 for printing Thermal Pot Stakes
Step 1: Adjust the black mark sensor
1. Open the printer case and remove the media if installed.
2. Locate the black mark sensor (Pictured Below).
3. Slide the black mark sensor to the left-hand side as shown below.
4. The black mark sensor LED’s should be placed under the horseshoe cut-out between each tag as shown below. The printer will read the cut-out area to determine the beginning and ending of each tag. This position may need to be adjusted slightly to the left or right to achieve desired results.
Step 2: Calibration
With the sensor in the proper position, you will now need to turn the black mark sensor on and calibrate the printer. This can be performed by the following steps.
Load the ribbon in the printer if it not already installed.
Install the Windows Print Driver if it not already.
Go to the driver under the settings tab in Windows (Devices, Printers & Scanners).
Click the TSC TTP-24 Printer and Select manage.
Select the Printing Preference option, then click the Stock tab. Change the Type option from “Use Current Printer Setting” to “Labels with Marks” and click Apply.
Close the Printing Preferences window.
Select the Printer Properties option, click the Rolls tab. Click the Action button and select “Run Calibration”. The printer will now run a sensor calibration to determine the label height.
If the calibration is successful the printer’s LED light should be solid green. You can press the printer’s feed button one time and the printer should advance one tag. The LED should remain solid green.
If the printer’s LED is blinking RED, please adjust the position of the black mark sensor and repeat steps 7-8.
