Datalogic DS5100 Series of Laser Scanners
The Datalogic DS5100, a new flexible, powerful, and compact laser scanner, is now available. This new scanner is a low-cost solution that meets the primary identification requirements of automotive, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and other manufacturing plants.
The DS5100 has a comprehensive and adaptable portfolio that includes Medium and Long Range models, as well as Linear and Oscillating Mirror models. The unit features DSTTM (Digital Signal Technology) for consistent and stable performance in any operating condition, a best-in-class ACRTM 4 reconstruction algorithm, and optimized reading recipes for flexible and outstanding reading performance on low quality and low contrast bar codes, damaged labels, and at high skew angles. Superior reading performance combined with a user-selectable focus make the DS5100 the ideal solution for a variety of applications throughout the manufacturing process:

The DS5100 is a complete connectivity and networking solution.
On-board Ethernet ports (one and two port models) and a switch provide an embedded interface to the main Fieldbus EtherNet/IP and PROFINET-IO without the need for external devices, resulting in a cost-effective solution and a quick installation time.
ID-NETTM interfaces are ideal for high-speed networks and multi-side reading. EBCTM interface provides real-time multi-head synchronization and events via bus for quick and easy installation (no signal cables), PACKTRACKTM tracking technology mode for increased reading throughput and accuracy.
Extended interoperability with Datalogic mid-range (DS2100N/DS2400N through ID-NET interface) and long range (DS8110/DX8210 through EBC) laser scanner families allows the DS5100 to be the perfect solution for integrated systems.
Cold Storage and Industrial
The DS5100 is ideal for harsh industrial environments, outdoor and frozen production facilities due to its top Industrial grade IP65 protection class, subzeroTM models* down to -35°C, and total ambient light immunity. The DS5100 has a rotating connector block for ease of installation and a flexible form factor. The DS5100 has an intuitive X-PRESSTM interface and the Multilanguage GeniusTM software tool for simple setup and maintenance.
The Multilanguage display embedded in the scanner improves scanner monitoring and diagnostics.
