We Imprint and Encode RFID Labels and Tags.
Barcode Factory not only offers RFID labels, tags, hard tags, wet and dry inlays, metal-mounted-tags and rugged tags for purchase, but we can custom encode the integrated circuit and print human-readable data on the entire RFID labels.
We offer volume pricing and the tools to do it yourself including the RFID labels, RFID printer/encoder, ribbons and software. We can also provide training and support throughout the entire project.
Why Custom Encoding?
RFID Tags- are manufactured with unique IDs written onto the integrated circuit. Although all tags come with sequential unique IDs, they are often not in the client’s desired format. Customizing the circuit to identify specific assets/people/entities, requires an encoder or RFID label printer with encoding capabilities.
What data can be encoded onto my RFID tag?
Barcode Factory will encode 24 digits of hexadecimal characters to the RFID tag’s EPC memory. Specifically, the sequence will begin like this:
000000000000000000000001
That number could be augmented sequentially up to the number of tags that you purchased. So, if you purchased 5000 tags, your sequence could begin like this:
000000000000000000000001 - 000000000000000000005000
This results in each tag having a unique identifier that you can use in your RFID application.
After you contact Barcode Factory our operations manager will contact you to determine your specifics and ask you to send the spreadsheet of data you require.
Can I add an imprint text on my RFID tag or label?
Yes – in addition to sequential numbers we can add text identifying the business or asset. The text can be variable from your file, or static.
